Qualifiying Etiquette
Qualifiying
Qualification is required for each race, it is your responsibility to give yourself clean air and position yourself that you will not interefere or impede other drivers.
Out/In Lap
1.1 Drivers on an out/in lap must not interfere or impede drivers on a hotlap.
1.2 When a faster car is approaching you must move off the racing line safely.
Hotlap
1.3 Do not overtake unless the driver in front has slowed down and indicated visually that they are not on a hotlap.
1.4 Racing in qualifiying is strictly prohibited.
Teleport To Pits
1.5 Teleporting to Pits in Practice is allowed.
1.6 Teleporting to Pits during Qualification or Race is strictly prohibited.
Connection or ping issues
1.7 If your ping is over 200 and is unstable (car warping) you will be asked to leave the server to rectify the issue.
1.8 You may leave the server to fix any issues relating to connection/ping.
1.9 You are not allowed to start the race if your connection issues have not been resolved.
Race Etiquette
Race Start
The rundown into Turn 1 is always hectic, we advise that you maintain your line throughout the first corner, brake earlier than normal and take it easy. Understand that there are a lot of drivers within close proximity with varying skill levels. The race is not won in the first corner.
Race Finish
Once you have crossed the finish line to signal the end of the race, you must do an in-lap and return to your pitbox, the session has not been concluded until every driver has reached their pitbox. Drivers who finished in podium positions should immediately after returning to their pitbox connect to the “Waiting room” Discord Channel and will wait to be interviewed.
Flags
1.1 Red Flag: In the event of a Red Flag you must proceed to your pitbox with a cautious in-lap and wait for further instruction from Race Control.
1.2 Blue Flag: It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver to get past, drivers are not obliged to pull off the racing line and slow down, if the overtaking driver makes a move you are not allowed to defend or otherwise impede them.
1.3 Yellow Flag: When a sector/part of the track is yellow flagged, caution must be taken and drivers must slow down if a car is on the track whilst going through the yellow flag, special care must be taken if there is an accident in the first lap as this is when most cars and drivers are bunched together.
Teleport To Pits
1.4 Teleporting to Pits in Practice is allowed.
1.5 Teleporting to Pits during Qualification or Race is strictly prohibited.
Re-joining the track
1.6 If you leave the track for any reason, you must re-enter the track safely and stay off of the racing line until you are back up to racing speed.
1.7 In case of a crash, you must press the brake pedal with maximum force until you are in control of the car.
Overtaking & Defending
1.8 The driver in front has the right to choose any line at any section of the track. The driver in front loses this right when an overtaking driver brings their front wheel to line up with the other driver’s door. At this point drivers are in a “side-by-side” position, and they both have to give each other at least 1 car’s width room.
1.9 You are allowed only 1 defensive move per corner.
2.0 Swerving or moving across the track under braking is not allowed.
2.1 Moving across the track in a blocking action is not allowed.
2.2 “Divebomb” – Coming from far back and braking late which forces the driver in front to take evasive actions is strictly prohibited.
Pitstop
2.2 Every driver must complete a mandatory pitstop.
2.3 Every driver must add at least 1 litre of fuel during their pitstop.
2.4 Multiple pitstops are allowed, subsequent pitstops refueling is not required.
2.5 Pitlane is single file only, do not go side-by-side on pit exit.
Red Zones
2.6 All tracks have Red Zones, Red Zones are an attempt to combat high risk overtaking attemps made by those who may not posses the skill level required. The penalties for causing a collision by an overtake attempt in a Red Zone area will be harsh and thus will force drivers to think more about the risk vs reward, effectively reducing the amount of crashes and incidents.
Damage
2.7 Driving with severe damage (damaged axle, red bumpers) is considered poor sportsmanship, you must pit immediately for repairs.
2.8 You are not allowed to run out of fuel, you must add enough fuel to complete the entire race + an in-lap.
Lights & Flashing
2.9 It is prohibited to use your lights.
3.0 Flashing your lights to distract or dazzle the driver in front is prohibited.
Disconnecting & Rage
3.1 If for any reason you need to disconnect you must notify Race Control stating your reason.
3.2 Ragequitting is strictly prohibited.
3.3 In the event you do not wish to continue the race you must drive to your pitbox and remain there for the remainder of the session.
3.4 Revenge of any sort is strictly prohibited and will get you removed from the Championship.
